HARDLY  TRADITIONAL






    clean 5 or 6 field mice*, preferably mature plump specimens, & remove unwanted parts
    1 cup of pasta, shells or macaroni are best
    1 yellow onion chopped coarsely but small
    2 large tomatoes, diced
    salt, pepper, & basil
    1 cup broth

Boil the pasta 10-15 minutes or until pliable. Meanwhile fry the prepared field mice on high heat to rid any
excess fat, turning frequently. Grease a casserole with the fat rendering and place in it a single layer of the
cooked pasta.  Add the remaining ingredients and season liberally.  Place the field mice on top of the
mixture, and cover with the rest of the pasta.  Add broth.  Cover the top with the Ritz cracker crumbs.  Bake
at 375 degrees (350 convection) for 30 minutes or until the mice are done.

* Substitute mice with sausage, kielbasa, or chorizo if you’re too lazy to catch mice, or if you live in the
desert.  (never use roadkill)

FIELD  MICE  CASSEROLE

First you have to catch some mice.  A field with tall grass in need of mowing is ideal.  You can see them hop
better.  Kill them by a whop to the back of the head similar to how you’d kill a rabbit.
