JESUS 101 Everyone dies. That's just the way it is, and has been since Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. It's not a glorious continued existence, perhaps in another form, but only providing that you belong to Jesus. On the bad thing because there is every indication of an afterlife. It is believed by Christians that this will be a other hand, without Jesus you have absolutely no hope of a blessed future after you die. I John 5:12 "anyone without Jesus does not have life". Also Romans 3:23 says that "everyone has sinned and falls short of God's glory". The great news is that anyone can come to Jesus, at any time and without having to prove anything. Acts 2:21 "whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved". God does not discriminate regardless of what you may have been taught. By accepting Jesus as your Savior you are freed from sin, not changed from who you are. If God created you from Irish ancestry, you’re going to remain Irish. It God made you tall, you’ll still be tall. If God created you gay, believe me – you’re still gay. No forgiveness is required because no sin has been committed. Rather rejoice that God made you just as you are. God made no mistake in creating you with whatever desires and inclinations you have, so if you don't fit into a traditional main-stream package, consider it God's special gift. Acts 10:34 "It is true that God has no favorites". Jesus is God's Son and He has an overwhelming love for you, so much so that He offered up His own life, dying a brutal death, having been beaten and crucified on behalf of you, me, and anyone who will believe it. John 3:16 "God loved us so much that God gave His only Son for us". By asking Jesus into your heart, anything you did which was unholy in your past will be completely erased and you will have on-going continual forgiveness at the asking. I John 2:12 "your sins are forgiven in the name of Jesus our Savior". You cannot lose your salvation once you have accepted Jesus as your Savior and Lord. If you believe the above, then ask Jesus in sincerity to forgive you of all your past sins. Ask Him to save you and come into your heart. He will do it. Romans 9:10 "If you will speak, saying that you believe in the Lord Jesus, and also believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved". You may or may not feel anything in particular at the moment, but thank Him for saving you because He just did. It's a done deal, and if you meant it you will now live forever. . |
